About the Position:

Students attend Loyola Academy thanks to the generosity of people who believe in the quality of a Jesuit education. Currently, we seek a detail-oriented, creative and engaging individual to become a key part of our fundraising team. The Donor Relations Manager is a new position at Loyola and will play a pivotal role in helping us to nurture relationships and properly steward our donors. This f/t position reports to the Director of Development and Marketing. Responsibilities include the following:

Primary Responsibilities

o Attend Board, Development Committee and Development Team meetings, document next steps and strategies and help the team stay on-task and develop new and creative approaches to communicate with our donors
o Process all contributions and prepare acknowledgements to donors in a prompt and personal manner
o Create and update donor records on database
o Run regular reports from database to identify giving patterns, lapsed donors, etc.
o Maintain Development/Donor Communications Calendar
o Proofread and ensure 100% accuracy on all donor communications and internal tracking systems
o Assist in all Development outreach, i.e. helping to organize 1:1 visits, email and mail appeals
o Oversee the corporate matching gift program
o Ideal candidates will also have an affinity for Marketing, promotions, social media and events to assist, as-needed, the Director of Development and Marketing in various tasks, including printed and digital publications such as: event programs, basic website maintenance, invitations, annual reports, newsletters, etc.
o Other duties as assigned by Director of Development and Marketing


o Minimum Bachelor-level degree in a related field with at least one to two years solid track record in development
o Outstanding and proven attention to detail
o Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
o Experience in Adobe Creative Suite a plus
o Donor database management experience; Donor Perfect experience a plus
o Proficient in understanding/implementation of social media and digital communication
o Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
o Ability to demonstrate initiative in organizing and prioritizing projects
o Ability to work independently and as a member of team
