Thanks to the American Youth Foundation and the Camp Miniwanca staff for a successful and rewarding week up in Shelby Michigan- students took part in activities such as dune hikes, canoeing, high ropes, raft building, and the low ropes challenge while furthering their knowledge of leadership and teamwork. Students spent time this week thinking about their actions through the Miniwanca motto: “My own self, at my very best, all the time”.

Congratulations to the Golf Committee for an excellent event held at the Log Cabin Club on September 26th. The event was filled with wonderful people including students, teachers, board members as well as new and old friends of Loyola Academy. Teams of 6 played 18 holes that were all designed as par 3′s and took part in individual and team competitions. Each player from the 1st place team (Regions Bank) won an IPad2 and one lucky winner of the individual shootout won a brand new BMW 3 series convertible (pictured above). The weather was gorgeous and it was a very successful day for the entire Loyola Academy community!
